The following services are providing by Knowledge Resource Center (KRC) to INCOIS Staffs.
Borrowing and circulation services
Document lending (Issue/Return/Renewal/Reservation), clearance of dues and related activities are included in this service.
Digital Repository Service
Archival of institute research output including peer-reviewed articles, conference proceedings and technical reports in the ePrints@MoES digital repository for preservation and open access. The centre assists other institutes under MoES to deposit their publications for wider access and more visibility.
Scientometric analysis
Providing special metric information to scientific staff: journal impact factor, H-index, citation analysis of individual scientists etc. Compilation of ESSO-INCOIS research publications and cumulative impact factor is also carried out from time to time.
Scientific database searching & information retrieval
Assisting staff, project students & research scholars in searching various scientific databases to retrieve information they require.

Reference and bibliographic services
At KRC you can get personal help and guidance on information retrieval. KRC staff actively suggest sources of information and assist users to locate their required materials. The staff also guide users about services at KRC, databases etc.
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
As soon as new books are purchased and processed, their bibliographic description, status etc. is added in OPAC. The readers may use OPAC for their search of books from their respective terminals.
Current Awareness Service
Users are constantly kept aware of the latest resources added to KRC through the "New Arrival Corner" on the KRC portal. 'New Books List' for all disciplines is also forwarded through e-mail.
Orientation Programmes
KRC Orientation Programme is arranged for new scientists/staff to familiarize them with various services, resources and databases they may avail for their research work. Training to use KRC portal is also provided to the new staff members.
Newspaper Clipping
Through the Newspaper Clipping service on the KRC portal oceanographic and institution related news is provided to users.
Seminar/Lectures
Lectures by eminent personalities, meetings are arranged under the aegis of KRC.
Photocopying service
A fully equipped reprographic facility with a large volume copier caters to users. This service is also extended to visitors.
