About ECSN

The Second International Indian Ocean Expedition Early Career Scientists Network (IIOE-2 ECSN) is a collaborative and supportive community that aims to foster professional development, knowledge exchange, and collaborations among emerging scientists, including graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, junior faculty members or researchers within the first decade of their research career.
Encompassing diverse domains of ocean sciences, the network facilitates the sharing of expertise and methodologies, to bridge early career researchers (ECRs) working on the Indian Ocean and promote interdisciplinary research. We are dedicated to nurturing the new generation of scientists from the Indian Ocean-rimmed countries to advance the understanding of the Indian Ocean's diverse and interconnected marine systems.
