Remote sensing is a useful tool for examining and measuring Earth's (Ocean, Atmosphere, and land) resources. Light plays an important role in satellite remote sensing. This course will explain how one can get Remote Sensing information using different spectrum of light. The course also elaborates the need for more satellites and sensors, selection of appropriate sensor data for specific preferred applications. The course is mainly designed for oceanographers dealing with three types of remote sensing (ocean color, thermal & microwave) and explains the fundamental physical principles of ocean remote sensing. At the end of the course, participants will gain knowledge in fundamental of Ocean Remote Sensing
