Prof. Lynnath Beckley, a professor in Marine Science at Murdoch University, Australia and a member of Scientific Steering committee of Sustained Indian Ocean Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research (SIBER) has received prestigious Australian Marine Sciences Association (AMSA) Jubilee Award for her outstanding contribution to marine research in Australia. She has been an active member of the International Indian Ocean Expedition (IIOE-2) research community since beginning. She has recently lead a team of eminent scientists to re-visit 110°E longitude transect of the IIOE-1 to examine the effects of climate change on the oceanographic processes and marine biota over the past five decades (since IIOE-1).
