1.4.1  Nature of functions/ services offered

To provide ocean data, information and advisory services to society, industry, the government and the scientific community through sustained ocean observations and constant improvements through systematic and focused research in information management and ocean modelling.

To list, the services are broadly related to Ecosystem Services such as Potential Fishing Zone (PFZ) Advisory Services, Coral Bleach Alert System (CBAS), Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) Services and Multi-Hazard Services such as Ocean State Forecast (OSF) Services, Tsunami Early Warning Services (TEWS), High Wave/ Swell Alert Services, Oil Spill Advisory services, Search and Rescue Aided Tool (SARAT) Services and many more.
