PORSEC Service Award-2022

The 15^th Pan-Ocean Remote Sensing Conference (PORSEC) was hosted by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on 7-8 December, 2022 (preceded by the pre-conference tutorial during 3-6 Dec). Dr. Nimit Kumar (Scientist, INCOIS) has been serving as PORSEC board member since 2017 as Executive Secretary, and Chair for Membership, Education & Outreach.

During 15^th PORSEC, he was awarded with 11^th PORSEC Distinguished Service Award for his achievements including an award-winning MOOC (IUCEL-2021 silver award). He is also the first Indian to have received a PORSEC (science/service) award (https://porsec.nwra.com/awards/).
