Disaster Mitigation Award

Disaster Mitigation Award 2009 instituted by the National Institute of Disaster Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India for development of the Tsunami Early Warning System.

INCOIS has received the prestigious "Disaster Mitigation Award-2009" in view of its outstanding contributions for developing a state-of-the-art early warning system for tsunamis during the Second India Disaster management Congress at New Delhi.
