Search and Rescue (SAR) Award for Ashore Unit for the year 2023-24

INCOIS was awarded with the 'Search and Rescue (SAR) Award for Ashore Unit' for the year 2023-24 in recognition of its contributions to maritime and aeronautical search and rescue operations through in-house developed software solutions named as Search & Rescue Aid Tool (SARAT) and SARAT Integrated (SARAT-I)

Through these tools, INCOIS played a crucial role in successfully strengthening overall maritime SAR construct. An enhanced version SARAT 2.0 was launched in August 2024 with improved visualization and accuracies, proving oceanscience and ICT technology capabilities in disaster risk reduction and support nation-building.
