Atmosphere

Atmosphere datasets focus primarily on characterizing the Earth’s troposphere and stratosphere. These data sets were created from ground observations and modeled data products to empower the researchers to understand the causes and processes of local weather fluctuations, global climate change and the consequences of human activities on the climate.

Ocean

Oceanic datasets focus primarily on characterizing various attributes of the Earth’s Oceans and its internal processes, circulation and dynamics, and various external forcings. These data products describe many ocean processes (both on the surface and deeper waters).

Polar Science

The Polar Science & Cryosphere studies are aimed at a holistic understanding of the Polar Regions including the Sothern Ocean. The Indian Scientific Expeditions to Antarctica, Arctic, Himalayas and Southern Ocean, the data collected from the Polar Regions such as Antarctica, Arctic, Himalayas and Southern Ocean are being archived and disseminated.

Geo Sciences

The geoscientific research addresses evolutionary processes taking place within the earth’s interior as well as in the near surface conditions. Unravelling basic complexities of geodynamism and resorting earth science applications research to understand natural hazards and natural resources at micro level generate data sets pertain to seismology, petrology, hydrogeology, biogeochemistry, marine geoscience, coastal dynamics, remote sensing etc.
